Torquay Christadelphians

"Let the Bible speak for itself"

Sunday Morning Service (Breaking of Bread)

Every Sunday morning at 11.00am we meet for our "Breaking of Bread Service". Our worship together includes Bible readings, hymns, prayers, and an "exhortation" (talk) based on the Bible given by an invited speaker. All baptised Christadelphians share the bread and wine to remember Jesus' sacrifice on our behalf.

Our aim is to reach back to first century beliefs and practices, and so the Christadelphian approach to Sunday morning worship is reasonably conservative by some modern standards. Christadelphian women cover their heads during the service. We do this in accordance with the Apostle Paul's teaching in 1 Corinthians 11:3-10. This is not expected of non-Christadelphians.

Sunday Bible Hour

On Sunday evenings at 6.00pm (first Sunday in the month at 2.30pm) we hold our "Bible Hour". The service includes a Bible-based talk, prayers, hymns, and a Bible reading. Talks are based around the core principles of the message of the Bible. The meetings can vary in format from Family Services to classic lecture-style presentations, often with PowerPoint. These services are suitable for all audiences and we warmly invite you to come and join us.

We base our beliefs solely on the Bible and use the Bible as a guide for our lives.
